These terms govern your use of My Cal AI Fitness Tracker ("the App"), developed and operated by an independent developer, not a company. By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these terms. See also our Privacy Policy.
Important health & safety notice
The App uses AI to estimate calories and nutrition, and to generate personalized meal plans and workout plans based on information you provide (such as your height, weight, and BMI). AI can make mistakes. These estimates, meal plans, and workout plans are for general informational purposes only, are not medical or professional advice, and are not a substitute for the judgment of a qualified doctor, dietitian, or trainer. Please consult a doctor or other qualified health professional before starting any new diet, meal plan, or exercise program — especially if you have any existing health condition, injury, pregnancy, or are otherwise unsure whether a given plan is appropriate for you. Stop any activity that causes pain, dizziness, or discomfort, and seek medical attention if needed.
What the App does
- Lets you log meals, exercise, water, sleep, and weight, with AI-estimated calories and nutrition from text or photos you provide.
- Generates AI-curated, day-by-day meal plans and workout plans personalized to the profile details you enter (including your BMI). These are regenerated only when your weight or BMI changes meaningfully, not on every visit.
- Offers optional Health Connect (Android) / Apple Health (iOS) integration to read steps and calories burned automatically, only if you choose to connect it.
- Offers an optional Premium subscription and, on Android, optional ads.
AI-generated content — accuracy and limits
- Calorie and nutrition estimates, meal plans, and workout plans are generated by third-party AI services and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for your specific circumstances.
- The App is not a medical device, does not diagnose or treat any condition, and does not provide medical, dietary, or fitness advice tailored by a licensed professional.
- You are responsible for deciding whether to follow any AI-generated suggestion, and for using good judgment (and a doctor's guidance, where appropriate) about your own health, diet, and exercise.
Fair use of AI features
- Free accounts include 5 AI entries and 2 photo scans in total (lifetime). Free accounts show ads (Android).
- Premium includes 25 AI entries and 10 photo scans per day, plus AI meal plans, AI workout plans and weekly AI insights; logging pauses for the rest of the day once a daily limit is reached and resumes the next day.
- We may change these limits, and our plan prices, over time to keep the service sustainable and to prevent abuse. The prices shown today are introductory launch prices; in future we may raise them for new subscribers and for renewals. Price changes for an active subscription follow Google Play's and the App Store's rules and notices, and you can cancel before the change takes effect.
Your account and data
- We may use the information you enter to operate and improve the App, including via aggregated or de-identified data — see the Privacy Policy for details.
- You can request that your data be deleted at any time from within the App or by contacting us.
- Running the App has real costs (AI processing, servers, maintenance and our team). To keep it sustainable we may in future use aggregated or de-identified insights drawn from usage, and we may offer features supported by sponsors or partners. We will not sell personal information that identifies you. Where the law requires your consent to share personal or health-related data with a third party, we will ask for it first, and we will update the Privacy Policy and notify you before any such change takes effect.
- We take reasonable steps to protect your data, but we cannot guarantee against data breaches, loss, or unauthorized access, and to the fullest extent permitted by law we are not liable for damages arising from such events.
Limitation of liability
- To the fullest extent permitted by law, the App and its developer are not liable for any injury, illness, or other harm resulting from following an AI-generated meal plan, workout plan, or nutrition estimate, or from any decision you make based on the App.
- The App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
Subscriptions and purchases
- Premium subscriptions are billed and managed through Google Play (Android) or the App Store (iOS, once available), and are subject to their respective terms.
- Subscriptions auto-renew until cancelled; cancel anytime through the relevant store's subscription settings. Cancelling stops future renewals and you keep Premium until the end of the period you have paid for.
- Purchases and renewals are final and are not refunded by us; refund requests are handled by Google Play or the App Store under their policies. See our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
- Premium is a personal, limited right to use the App's Premium features. It is not ownership, and a subscription or Premium status cannot be sold, transferred, shared, rented or passed to another person or account.
- We may suspend or end Premium, without a refund, for account sharing, resale, fraud, chargeback abuse, automated use, or use of a modified version of the App to bypass limits or payment.
- We may change features, daily limits and prices; changes apply from your next billing period.
- These terms are governed by the laws of India. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under laws that cannot be excluded by agreement.
Professional suggestions (doctors and nutritionists)
- For Premium members we may show banners or listings of third-party doctors, dietitians, nutritionists or similar professionals so you can contact them directly.
- These are suggestions for convenience only. They are not an endorsement, recommendation or guarantee of any professional or of their advice, and we are not a party to anything between you and them. Any consultation, fee or outcome is solely between you and that professional. In a medical emergency, contact your local emergency services.
- To show professionals near you we may ask for your approximate location or the city you enter. We will only use device location if you grant permission, you can withdraw it at any time in your phone settings, and we may receive a referral fee or advertising payment from listed professionals.
Intellectual property and acceptable use
- The App, including its design, content, features, code, prompts, plans and the way it works, belongs to us or our licensors and is protected by law. You get a personal, limited, non-transferable licence to use it.
- You may not copy, scrape, reverse engineer, decompile, extract prompts or logic from, or resell the App or its outputs, use them to build or train a competing product or service, or use automated tools, bots or modified versions of the App to access it or bypass any limit.
Changes to the App, ownership and business transfers
- We may change, add or remove features, and may suspend or discontinue the App, at any time.
- We may sell, merge, restructure, or transfer ownership of the App, the company or its assets to another person or business. In that case your account and data may be transferred to the new owner, who must continue to honour these terms and the Privacy Policy. Where the law requires, we will tell you beforehand, and you can delete your account if you do not agree.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms and Conditions, the Privacy Policy and the Refund & Cancellation Policy from time to time. By agreeing to them once, and by continuing to use the App afterwards, you accept the updated versions as they take effect, including future changes. We will update the "Last updated" date and, for material changes, tell you in the App or by another reasonable means. If you do not agree to a change, stop using the App, cancel your subscription before its next renewal and delete your account.
